A Global Platform for the Art and Craft of Screenwriting

The World Screenwriters Association (WSA) operates under the World House of Cinema Artists (WHCA) as a global network dedicated to empowering screenwriters across all cultures and languages.

Our mission is to promote excellence in screenwriting, foster creative exchange, and connect writers with the international film industry.

World Screenwriters Association

Our Core Activities

International Workshops and Screenwriting Festivals

We organize professional workshops and annual festivals focused on screenwriting — offering members the opportunity to present their works, collaborate with peers, and learn from acclaimed international mentors.

Specialized Publications

The WSA publishes academic and professional journals, featuring interviews, analyses, and essays that explore the art, structure, and philosophy of screenwriting.

Global Screenplay Bank

A unique international database connecting writers, producers, and investors.

Members can submit their screenplays to be reviewed, listed, and potentially matched with production partners worldwide.

Membership in the World Screenwriters Association is open to both emerging and established writers who meet the following criteria:

The applicant must have at least one completed screenplay, even if it has not yet been produced.
